The Generation Worship is a new multi-people community. We have members from diverse backgrounds and age-groups ranging from youth to adults (40+). We desire to create a powerful worship experience for the people of this generation. We believe the next great wave of revival will happen in our generation. Come see what God is doing at The Generation Worship! Sundays at 11am – 112 Glyndon St, NE Vienna, VA 22180

Our Mission

To reach a generation far from God, teach them how to have an ever-growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and release them into the world so that they will do the same.

Our Vision

To see a generation that loves Jesus.

We want to become a ministry that intimately prays and passionately teaches God’s word in a way that is relatable to the people of this generation. We want to become a ministry that uses our gifts and talents, and all avenues of media and the creative arts to lift high the name of Jesus. We want to become a ministry that loves Jesus and displays His love to one another in a tangible way so that the world will know that Jesus is alive. We want to see people transformed by Jesus and share His love to the ends of the world and participate in the transformation of this generation.

The Six P’s: Pray, Praise, Proclaim, Provide, Produce, Progress.

The six P’s are our ministry pillars. Pray (Personal and Corporate Prayer), Praise (Worship), Proclaim (Preaching and Teaching), Provide (Giving and Outreach), Produce (Discipleship and Leadership), and Progress (Growth and Multiplication).

The Code of Culture

  1. We will lift high the name of Jesus, not anyone else. (We worship Jesus alone)
  2. We will live by faith, not by sight. (We make decisions based on trusting God)
  3. We will do it for one, not for many. (We are people of integrity)
  4. We will build up, not tear down. (We love people)
  5. We are better together, not alone. (We promote unity, we live in community, and operate in teams)
  6. We will be excellent, not perfect. (We will bring our very best.)
  7. We will participate, not spectate (We take ownership because it is God’s house)
  8. We are hungry, not full.  (We are teachable and progressive)
  9. We are focused, not distracted (We do the right things, not more things)
  10. We take the steps, not the elevator (We embrace the process. We don’t take shortcuts.)
  11. We will pray, not worry, (We depend on the power of God.)
  12. We are thankful, not entitled. (We practice daily gratitude.)

Pastoral Leadership Team

Rev. Peter Mun, Pastor of The Generation Worship (EM)

Pastor Peter or Pastor Pete, grew up in the Northern Virginia area. Though as a child he attended church, at the age of twelve he started using drugs and alcohol. This led him down a destructive road of drug addiction. During college, he gave his life to Jesus Christ and his life was totally transformed. He soon received a call into ministry with the passion to share the redeeming love of Jesus with those far from God.

Pastor Pete has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Religion from Liberty University and a Masters of Divinity in Professional Ministries from Liberty Theological Seminary. He served as the Pastoral Intern and College Pastor at Higher Connection Church in Silver Spring, Maryland (Global Mission Church) from 2007-2010. He went on to serve as the Administration and Young Adults Pastor at Lifespring Church in Sondgo-Incheon, South Korea from 2011-2015. In late 2015, Pastor Peter and his family moved back to Northern Virginia with a call to start a new ministry. He served on staff at Potomac Baptist Church from 2016-2018 as the Church Planting Apprentice, and in February 2018, he joined Washington Onnuri Community Church to start, “The Generation Worship.” Pastor Pete is ordained Southern Baptist and is a trained and certified church-planter with the SBCV. He is bi-vocational as he also serves as the Athletic Director at Dominion Christian School in Reston.

Pastor Pete and his wife Jannifer got married in 2010, sharing a heart to reach people far from God. They have three children, Timothy (Timmy), Elizabeth (Bethy), and Titus, and a Corgi they call, “Roxy the Foxy Corgi.”  Pastor Pete can be summed by four activities; sports, food, movies, and music. He is an avid sports fan; basketball and football being his favorite. He loves buffalo wings and wouldn’t mind eating it every day. He loves comedies and still enjoys watching old 90’s TV sitcoms.  Before becoming a pastor, he had strong aspirations of being a rapper.

Rev. YongJin Park, Senior Pastor of Washington Onnuri Community Church (KM)

Pastor Park was born in South Korea. He came to the US on January 1994 as an international student and settled down permanently as a US citizen. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior when he was teenager. He received God’s calling but he refused and resisted for years. Eventually his struggle ended after his military service in Korea and started following God’s lead.

Pastor Park graduated the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with BA degree and he received his master’s degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He served multiple churches in Texas, Louisiana, Maryland and Virginia for many years. He is also trained and certified as a church planter from north America Mission Board in SBCV and planted a 1.5 & 2nd generation Korean-American church in 2009. He started serving as a senior pastor at Washington Onnuri Community Church since August 2019. He is a bi-vocational pastor and his second profession is a senior system design engineer at Diversified.
